I recently had the opportunity to do a photo shoot at Lydd Karting for a sponsored 2 hour endurance race. It was a beautiful sunny day with perfect conditions for racing and photography. I was lucky enough to be able to shadow the track photographer Web Photo UK and he gave me some great location tips and advice for getting the best shots.
I really wanted to practise a technique called panning which is where you focus on a moving object to keep it sharp and blur the background to give the impression of movement. It is quite a difficult technique to get right but I think I managed to get it right. Have a look and see what you think..
