I was recently commissioned, following a selection process involving a large number of other photographers, to shoot some press shots for a young singer/songwriter. Joe Slater is an extremely talented vocalist and guitar player working really hard to forge a career in what has become an incredibly hard industry to break into, talking to him before and during the shoot I got a sense of his passion for music and for his determination to make this career work on his terms, all based on his genuine love for music.
