The seventh restaurant in the Dean Street Dining series found us in Duck Soup a small space that manages to be both chic and cosy at the same time. Warm and inviting, a restaurant with a village feel in the heart of London. Part of the charm is the record player and selection of vinyl that diners are able to browse and play if they chose to and the warm glow of the candles which adds to the intimate feel. Duck Soup has a constantly shifting menu of food and wines that changes with the seasons and the tastes of the staff who are all invited to test the food and wines at the start of each day.
Duck Soup was busy by the time I got to the stage of shooting the staff portraits so I tried to capture the bustle of the restaurant by photographing the staff as they worked (hopefully not getting in their way while I did it).
Many thanks to Clare, Rory and the team at Duck Soup for their time and patience
Feedback from Clare and Rory:

“You got some good shots there, i like the fact none of the staff posed, you captured a good feel of Ducksoup”
