Over the past month I’ve been working on a project inspired by the photography of Omar Robles who is an amazing photographer with an incredible eye and an amazing ability to capture the moment of a dance where the dancer reaches the critical tipping point.
For my project, I’ve tried to capture the energy, enthusiasm, commitment and courage of 5 dancers, each dancer was a lot of fun but when they were dancing it was 100% business, each was incredibly keen to see the shots on the back of the camera to make sure they executed the move perfectly. Hopefully, you can see and feel the passion these 5 have for their chosen art form, and dance is an art. Hopefully I have done them justice in my selection of shots.
I can’t thank Tarek from Gawz Dance Agency enough for introducing me to the dancers and for being part of the project himself. He’s an amazing guy and also a pretty amazing dancer. A huge thank you also to Fani, Christopher, Neus and Vivien for being part of this project!
